The Ruapehu Bulletin (circulation 4,400) is published every Tuesday and covers the southern Ruapehu district - Waiouru, Ohakune, Raetihi, National Park and Whakapapa. The area is dominated by Mt Ruapehu, with its ski fields and walking tracks. It is also strong on horticulture, agriculture and forestry and is home to the Waiouru Army training area.
