The Wanaka Sun is published every Thursday and is Wanaka's only local weekly newspaper. It is unashamedly locally owned and operated. The Wanaka Sun is distributed to all households and businesses in the Wanaka and Cromwell area with additional print runs over holiday periods. Delivery to all urban Wanaka and Cromwell mailboxes, Wanaka and Cromwell Rural Delivery and Makarora, Tarras, and Haast PO boxes. We hand deliver to businesses in the Wanaka CBD, and with drop boxes in Wanaka, Queenstown and Cromwell this ensures that your message is seen by thousands of Wanaka locals and visitors. The Wanaka Sun has been undergoing an exciting period of development with a new masthead design and other initiatives such as special features and supplements to boost its profile. Supplements have run for Warbirds over Wanaka, Festival of Colour and Wanaka Fest to mention a few. A readers survey shows that we have a very loyal readership that read the paper for local news, sport, business and jobs. We have strong representation across all age groups with the biggest cohorts in the 26-35 and 46-55 age groups, and a strong female readership. The Wanaka Sun is printed in Ashburton by Guardian print, thus ensuring that print is of the highest quality.
